Hi!
My name is Christa Moreland, a third year Communication major from Rialto, CA. I am one of the Leadership Development Directors for the 2022-23 school year.
I joined BSU because I wanted to have a hand in cultivating a space for the success of Black students at UCSB. When I first came to UCSB, finding a space like BSU really aided in my success on campus both mentally and academically. I aspire to help other Black students feel the same.
I envision that BSU will be a space for any and all Black identifying students from different backgrounds to come together to aid each other in their college journey. I envision BSU as a space for Black students to celebrate Black culture and overcome the hardships of college together!
