Asata Spencer

My name is Asata Spencer and I’m a third year Environmental Studies major and Anthropology minor from East Oakland, California.

I joined BSU to be close to the Black community at UCSB and to be more active in campus events. My vision for BSU is an inclusive space for all Black students across the Diaspora to feel safe, welcome, and heard.
